Asheville, November 1, 2016 – The Family Health Centers of Asheville, Arden & Hominy Valley, the largest privately-owned family medical practice in the region, announces Pam Lewis as the recipient of the Professional Association of Health Care Office Management (PAHCOM) 2016 Medical Manager of the Year Award. Pam Lewis is the Business Office Manager at The Family Health Centers.
The award was announced at the annual PAHCOM conference which took place October 17-20, 2016 in Clearwater Beach, FL. The Medical Manager of the Year is selected based on a number of achievements including local chapter contributions, national involvement, formal and continuing education and community involvement.
Pam is a Certified Medical Manager and a Health Information Technology Certified Manager for Physician Practice. She studied Marketing at Jacksonville State University and Pensacola State University, and was the Valedictorian of her high school class. Pam has worked in health care for more than 30 years and is a 2015 co-founder of the Lexington, NC chapter of PAHCOM. “I believe that the new Lexington Chapter will give our managers the knowledge they need to face the challenges currently affecting healthcare.”
Pam lives in Black Mountain with her husband and their beloved Coonhound, Fiona.
