Seasonal Flu Vaccine
With COVID-19 control measures subsiding in our communities, getting a flu vaccine is important for the 2022-2023 season.
The CDC recommends a yearly flu vaccine as the first and most important step in protecting against flu viruses. All persons 6 months and older, with rare exceptions, should get a flu vaccine.
Patients may receive the flu vaccine on a walk-in basis Monday through Friday during the following recommended hours:
- 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM
- 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM
Patients may receive both a COVID-19 booster vaccine and the flu vaccine at your visit.
Established patients may also request to receive the flu vaccine when visiting The Family Health Centers for an unrelated appointment or lab work.
The Family Health Centers’ drive-through flu shot clinic is closed for the 2022 fall/winter season. Please check back in 2023 for seasonal drive-through vaccine clinic updates.
Insurance coverage: The flu shot is fully covered by most commercial insurance plans as well as Medicare and Medicaid.
On your appointment date: Please arrive a few minutes early. You will not need to leave your vehicle. Follow the signs and cones. Please wear a mask when approached to check in, and when receiving the vaccine. The drive-through vaccine process should take no more than 15 minutes.
Again, we encourage you and your loved ones to receive the flu vaccine this season.
